A Methodical Approach to Security Assessment

DTS has adopted a meticulous approach in conducting the MSA(Microsoft Security Assessment), aligned with industry-leading security standards set by National Cyber Security Center (NCSC), CIS, NIST, and Microsoft Cloud Security Benchmarks. The assessment unfolded in the following steps:

• Pre-Assessment: The MSA pre-assessment initiated the journey, where organizations had the opportunity to candidly evaluate their cloud implementation and security maturity levels.
• In-Depth Workshops: The core of the MSA revolved around an exhaustive examination of security controls outlined by NCSC, CIS, and Microsoft's Zero Trust framework. These workshops provided a comprehensive evaluation of the current security maturity, offering insights into cloud readiness.
• Outcomes: Leveraging reverse mappings, DTS bridged client controls to established compliance frameworks such as ISO and NIST. An executive summary was meticulously crafted, encapsulating the assessment findings and presenting a roadmap for bolstering security maturity. The executive summary thoughtfully categorized findings, backed by evidence, into severity levels. Recommendations were presented based on criticality, ensuring a prioritized approach to security enhancement.
